Dear Querist, you will have to file a petition for legal heirship and make a statement that there are no legal heirs of your uncle. Courts will still verify by issuing citation. If no objections are found. Then court will issue you legal heir certificate. Regards, Rakesh.

This is my response to you: 1. You must state if you want legal heir certificate or succession certificate; 2. You must obtain LH certificate if you want movable properties of his share; 3. You will have to obtain succession/letters of administration if there is immovable properties; 4. Consult a local lawyer with full facts and then take steps.
