Last owner threatening to create a false sale deed after selling us

Hi sir, I have a brought a property for 58 lakhs. I paid 50 lakhs and got it done all the formalities which includes registration in register office and got the passbook, land details is also uploaded in government website on our name.Remaining 8 lakhs are verbally agreed to pay upon the signature of the old owners brother son.At the time of registration he agreed and now he is rejecting. Now he is threatening that he will create old agreement on some ones name and he will put it in court and also he will make us to roam around courts if i dont pay 8 lakhs. Please advice

You need to pay the 8 lakhs only on the old owner's brother's son signing the rectification deed.
absolutely no worries. in case you are getting hints that the other person is going to court, you can always file a caveat in advance. a caveat is valid for 30 days and a copy will be sent to other person. that way you can force the other person to come and resolve your issue.
