Land on joint name one of them want to sell property what to do

I am Working as a software engineering in Hitech city. I am from Dharmaram (Vill) Konaraopet (Mandal) Karimnagar(Dist). We(My self and another person with well and motor sanction) had a combined land (1.18 Gunta) in my vill and other person is sold his 28 gunta's to us. We have given 2 lacs in advance for the same. Now his cousin brothers send me a legal notice from Sircilla court for not purchase the land. Can you please help me on this and let me know if you need any info.
Your seller should give you more details on how he got he land as it appears that the land sold to you is ancestral property and the cousins also have a share in that property.
so, issue notices to the seller right away and ask him to explain and refund you the money.
