Land compensation paid to a wrong person

15-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, We have a land 26 KM from Patna. Four lane over bridge crossed my land and cumpulsation paid to person who has nothing to do with land. Land was purchased by father of my Grandfather. And then my grandfather was single in brother. My father who is also single brother and me too. My father also sold a part of land 20 years back. We have all the documents. We have also a report made by Government Official regarding our land and Vansabali. We have upto date land receipt and my father name in register 2. We have filed a writ in Patna High court 2 years back almost and waiting the case to be open. We had sent a notice to cumpulsation receiver earlier and they replied that father of my grandfather had no children. Kindly guide me what to do.

The best way possible for you now is to take a follow up from your lawyer asking the status of your case in high court or if you have case number you can check your case status too from the website of Patna high court.

It is the dispute of civil nature, the High court may not interfere in the mater since it is disputed facts . But since you have the the sufficient documents of your claim i.e. mutation papers, rent receipt granted by the revenue authorities as well as the sale deed which was executed 20 years back, therefore you could file a civil suit against the receiver of compensation as well as against the authorities who have paid the compensation to him.
