Is there statute of limitation when a person is ousted from property

12-Feb-2025 (In Property Law)
We have probate on joint property then my brother ousted me. Then he filed false criminal complaint so I not bother him. Twenty years pass and I not file any complaint in court against him. Since I not file any action before can I now still claim damages for ousting or that statute of limitation expire.

If you have independent legal right in the property, you can claim your share in the court by partition or recovery of possession. As per law limitation to file such cases is fixed however on sufficient cause the delay can be condoned. Feel free to connect for further query. Thanks
