In which name should the sale deed be executed

05-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
I got married in 1977. In 1992 my name change of maiden name to married name (only change of last name/surname) was registered in Gazette. In 1995, I purchased a property (land) in my MAIDEN NAME. Now, i want to sell this property. in what name should the sale deed be done and in what name should check be taken? please keep in mind that after this sale deed goes through, i need to invest this money in another property that is already booked in my married name.

At present you can sell the property and take the cheque on your present name. In the sale deed you have to write that when you had purchased property, that time your name was .. .and now your name had been changed to .... from ..... date. There after you can invest on your present name any where in property property also.

Hi,
You can sale the property in your married name as after the publication in Govt Gazette, your name have been changed you can file an affidavit along with Gazette stating that both name are of the same person if registrar office so demands..You take the cheque in your Married name..

Thanks
