In case of selling property, buyer and seller needs to pay GST

Dear sir/Madam, My father having land and it is properly registered.. all document are clear.. now we r decided to sell the land.. if we Selling means buyer and seller both need to pay tax or buyer need to pay tax? How much tax % will be calculated in current situation? Thnx in advance...

To my knowledge, real estate transactions are not yet covered under the GST. In any case, please confirm the fact through a practising chartered accountant specializing in GST. If GST is applicable, he may advise you on the tax rate.

If a construction agreement is registered for constructing a building GST will attract @18% to be payable by the buyer.In your case ,by given details I understand that it is a vacant land, where it will not attract GST.
