Verify Legal Heirship: To confirm if the two individuals are correct legal heirs, you should obtain a Legal Heir Certificate or Succession Certificate from the local court or relevant authority. Examine Mutation Records: Review the Mutation Register (MR) entries linked to the RTC to understand how the property was transferred and identify the basis for the new names appearing in the records. Check Property Title: Note that revenue records like the RTC indicate possession for tax purposes, but do not definitively prove ownership; therefore, you must also investigate the sale deed or title deed for the property. Understand Personal Law: Under Muslim Law, property devolution follows specific fixed portions to heirs, so verifying relationships is crucial to establishing valid claims.
