Whoever cheats and thereby dishonestly induces the person deceived to deliver any property to any oerson or to make altef or destroy the whole or any part of a valuable security or anything which is signed or sealed. You have transferred your property in the name of ur wife. Your brother will not succeed if 420 is levelled against u.

You have not stated that how you have transferred your property. It may have been by way of sale deed or Gift or will. If the property is your self acquired property in that situation no body has right to sue against you or your wife. If it is joint property youst have transferred your share in the property to your wife, if it is so, it is orrect approach and no body has right to sue against your wife. Even you have transferred specific property without partition to your wife even in that situation, your brother can not file a criminal case against you or your wife. The remedy is only to file a civil suit and if criminal case is being filed that would be quashed from the high court. since it is civil dispute.
