How to separate record of rights after distribution between brothers.

My grandfather 's property distributed between my father and his brother. But single record of rights is available now. In that record both person's names are present with their devided property. How can we get separate record of rights?
If the RTC record shows the name of both brothers together then their should be a mutation entry also in respect of the property. Please check the mutation entry on respect of the property. Then you can take further action either by approaching the revenue authority or seek for determining the boundaries of the property to determine your share in accordance with the partition.
