How to safeguard the land rights of the legal heirs..?

14-May-2023 (In Property Law)
We are the legal heirs of the (late) land owners. My question is as below: 1) When a housing society is registered it has to be conveyed. Is it possible for the legal heirs of the (late) land owners to demand compensation of their share of land for the conveyance deed? 2) In case conveyance deed is not done, a housing society can go for deed conveyance. But the issue is 5 flats are tenant ownership and therefore they have no record of buying the flat. How can the legal heirs safeguard their rights in this case.?
