How to Divide the ancestral Property of grand father

1) In 1978 my grandfather dies without any will ,My Grandmother also died in 2004 without any will 2) Grandfather has 2 daughters in that elder daughter died in 1995 but she has 3 children alive 3) Grandfather’s younger daughter also alive but no children. How to Divide the ancestral Property of my grandfather? how many shares will get to the elder daughter 3 children it has be split into 1/4 share ( Elder daughter 3 children + younger daughter) or 1/2 share ( 2 daughters )

Well, if your grandparents died intestate, then the properties owned by them would devolve upon their legal heirs equally; and as you have mentioned that your mom died in 1995, so you along with your 3 siblings will inherit your mom’s 1/2 share.
