How to check the existance of registered/unregistered will

16-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
WE have a property in name of our father. The father has passed away. How i can know whether any registered/unregistered will is existing. I live overseas and likely to visit within 4-6 months.

in this case you have to get verification with the property registrar office of the area. mostly wills are attached with the property documents when these are registered wills. Or unless if it is not a registered will automatically some one will come forward to become its beneficiary or Executant, for you it is better you take it like there is no will and asap you try to get inherited property of your father in your name. by filing a partition suit if legal heirs are more than you and if you are a single class I legal heir you just get a succession certificate from the court and succeed the property in your name.
pl consult a good experienced Advocate for it as property Matteres are very delicate matters.
