How much is relinquishment deed stamp duty between husband and wife

Hi thereMy husband wants to transfer his 50% share to me of a flat that we jointly own in Thane, Maharashtra. We are soon getting a divorce, and so we want to sort this out before filing for divorce. nnWe have a loan against the flat and so the original registration documents are with HDFC, so we cannot make a gift deed (as the original registration document will be needed by the Sub-Registrar)nnSo, we have decided to make a relinquishment deed. Please let me know if this is okay and will hold later after a few years AND also, how much is the stamp duty charges for this. nnThank you,.

Your husband can gift his 50% share to you and the stamp duty and registration charges are nominal but there is 1% LBT and 1% Metro surcharge to be paid on the said 50% ready reckoner value of the property in Thane.
