There must be law relating to partition of shamlat land . Generally shamlat land is the owner ship of the gram panchayat who uses it for the benefit of the village. It is the land which was carved from the land of the proprietors of the village which can be partitioned between the owners in case it's still shown as jumla Malkan

shamlat is basically the land which is meant for common purposes and vest in gram panchyat only..but there are certain cases in which a private person can establish claim but for that revenue record since 1950 is required to checked and then one can approach collector court to establish title
