Hindu Succession Act ammendments 2005

02-Jan-2025 (In Property Law)
Does 2005 ammendment to Hindu Succession act have any impact on undivided property under Dayabhaga law that passed on to 5 surviving sons and wife of a person who died in 1937. The person also had 3 daughters who were all married by 1950 ( 2 were married before 1937). The municpal tax bills are in name of the sons ( or their legal heir). What right to the heirs of the daighters have today?

This is in reference to your query in Lawrato. As per the amendment the daughters will not get any share in the property as the person died in 1937. The heirs of the daughter will also not get any right in the property. Please call for more details
