Grandfather died interstate want to distribute his property

07-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
We have land of my grandfather at my native place, village in Maharashtra. Including my father they are 6 brothers. They are not coming to consensus for distribution of land for long time. How can this be handled legally? Where can I go for solution? Can my father alone file complain to put stay on property until the final distribution? How much it will cost approximately? What is general process after filing complain legally?

If your grandfather died without any WILL then you have to obtain administrative orders from the court identifying the heirs and distribution of assets. You can also file suit in court for partition of properties in dispute and obtain order from the court.

As per your query

Firstly if your father is not reflecting on 7/12 extract you need to get the same inserted. Secondly your father need to file suit for partition and obatin a stay on sale of any portion of the property.

Court fees depends upon the valuation of property.
