Gift deed regarding flat in dombivli areaa

My father expired in 2021 the flat is yet to be transferred to my mother's name (nominee).
My mother wishes to give to me (daughter) through gift deed.
Can we directly process gift deed or first I need to trf the flat in mother's name and then proceed.

if your father died intestate without a will then you need to file for a letter of Administration before Bombay High court in which you can get the flat with the consent of your mother on your name,
then there is no need to transfer it from your mother's name to your name
it will be directly transferred to your name.
