Gift deed of Agricuture land from father to son where son is OCI holde

I live abroad and hold a foreign passport, my father made a gift deed to transfer our ancestral property along with his self acquired property, both are agriculture lands in Karnataka. While gift deed is registered under 2 witnesses in registration office in front of Talisdhar, we did not apply for katha to change the title to my name, the RTC is still under my fathers name. It has been 10 months now since it is registered complete. Now Someone told me that I should not get a gift deed of agriculture land, can I now cancel the gift deed?
