Hi, we are joint owners of a flat. My husband is abroad & we want a POA done so I can execute rental agreement on his behalf too. How can we get a POA made when he is abroad & me in India? What is the cost of this whole process?

You can execute poa in this situation also. you have to send draft of poa to your husband and he has to do attestation at embassy and then send to you. after receiving attested poa in india you have to pay stamp duty of Rs. 500 and then have to do notary.

You can get the PoA drafted by an advocate here in Mumbai and send the mail of it to him . He shall take a print out of that POA in the country he is now and visit the Indian embassy in that country to get the POA affirmed by consultate office of Indian embassy. The said POA can be used here.
