Found document after decades but land sold illegally by leaser

My uncle recently found a document for 50 cents of land that his grandfather has executed and registered in his name. He also found original pramanam from village office. However, in 1986, the land was illegally sold by the person to whom the land was leased to. We found this persons signature in the document created when it was sold. After that land is with the same person to whom this was sold. Now, what can be done? Any chance of getting any money?

With the given details, I would suggest as follows.
As the property is in your uncle's favour, You have to approach the court seeking for your property and to cancel the previous sale.
You can rely the documents and Sue him.
