My mother had a farm land in her name that she inherited from her father a few years ago, but she signed a deed of surrender and transferred it to her brothers. Now she wants to buy the farm land in her own name, what documents will she need to provide?
Your Mother needs to produce a Farmers Certificate or a Document proving that she is the Wife of a Farmer, if she wants to buy an Agricultural Land in Maharashtra. As this farm land which she wants to buy was once of her, so, I do not think so, she will face lot of problems in repossessing and owning such farm land.
