Flat upgrade from 2BHK to 3BHK in the same project

I have purchased a 2 bhk flat in an under construction property. I want to upgrade the same to 3 bhk in the same project. For the purchased flat registration is done and also 50% of the cost is paid to the builder. Now, what is best way to switch to 3 bhk without having monetary loss.
You can enter into agreement with builder for correction of agreement.and in correction agreement you can change description of property.and that agreement can be registered with sub registrar office.thereby no need of pay stamp duty again.
