Father expired. Mother sold the plot without our consent. What to do?

Father bought a plot and got it registered on mother's name. Now our father expired. The plot was sold by our mother without our consent. Do we have any share in that property?

If the plot was purchased by father, you have a definite share in the same. You should file a suit seeking cancellation of the sale deed executed by your mother. You need to consult for further course of action.

Since the plot was in the mother's name, and she was the sole and absolute owner of the property, the mother has a right to sell the property. However, if the parties are able to show that the property bought was bought with the intention of it being a family property and to be devolved to all the heirs equally, the sale of the property can be challenged.
