Farm Land Gift Deed from brother to brother

My brother wants to give his 1 acre farm land as gift deed to me.So do we need to give stamp duty & registration fees for this . If yes, is there any other way to take the control of land from my brother so that he can not sell land without my permission. We are from Maharashtra.
