05-Oct-2024 (In Property Law)
Hello, We have decided to buy a propery. The owner of the property has given the GPA rights to his mother and mother has signed the sale deed. Now he doesn't have the Family tree certificate .we have asked him provide it but he says he cannot provide since he doesn't have with him. Plese advise if Family tree is a mandatory document to buy a property? If we buy a property will it be an issue in the future? Owner has one daughter and staying with his mother. And a brother as well.

A family tree is an important document, especially when dealing with inherited property. If it is unavailable, it could lead to issues. To avoid complications, ensure you obtain a notarized family tree or, alternatively, it is advisable to execute an indemnity bond from the owner.
