Enchroachment by GAIL India - Compensatio to Previous Owner in 2007

We bought a property in 1997 from Original owner who bough property in 1989.
Unfortunately, vicinity of the property GAIL gas line is layed in 2002. But GAIL didn't perform valid checks and sents us a letter in 2007 stating that GAIL has compensated the amount of 27,300/- to Original Owner(who bought in 1989 - uppal) and mentioned that they could't find our ownership( when we bought in 1997 - Ghatkesar) . It's complete negligence of GAIL enchroaching our property in 2002 but informed in 2007
hi first need to see the documents of the subject property and the total land acquired and compensation paid and if there is any delay in paying the compensation amount then you could approach court seeking relief
