EC is required for how many years?

Hi, as per my lawyer he say 20 year EC is sufficient to know whether it is a granted land or no. is that true, or should i asked for past 20 year EC copy still? please advise. Mutation register, in that survey no of the property which we are buying is missing.. what will be the problem if we buy the property if we buy without the mutation register of requried survey number??

Dear Sir/Madam, your lawyer says is correct. If you have more money or excess money you will buy the said property/problem, I would like to advice that you don't have purchase the said property until and unless to get clearance of the title and possession of the property with legal as well as should be inter connect link documents as per law. ... if you want more advice in this regard, i will do it. ... kindly review my answer/reply it will be token of appreciation... by Chandrashekhar Vithal Jadhav, Advocate & Legal Consultant, Bangalore.
