Defamation case filed by builder against me

I bought villa in lko by taking homeloan from HDFC.later builder did it's forged registry to smone else.papers of forged registry are not disclosed .when I informed bank about this, builder field case of defamation against me.
What should I do to defend myself.
there are two types of defamation first is civil second is criminal. do let me know which defamation case has been filed by builder against you so that we can defend you in that way. if there is civil defamation seeking compensation then we will defend in Civil Court if there is criminal then will will defend in other manner.
