Court Representation for NRI that cannot attend hearings

I have a property dispute matter that needs to go to court. I don't have anyone in India can help me with the matter. Can I formally instruct someone to represent me in India? If so, can this person be a lawyer working alongside my lawyer?
Unfortunately, the lawyer I have chosen is pushing for a staff member. What are my other options?

You can give a power of attorney to a lawyer's name who can on your behalf fight the case. But in cases of such nature, the scope of fraud is high, so I would really suggest you that you give him a Special Power of Attorney and specify his rights and duties under that. Get the document apostle in the Country you're and once the Special Power of Attorney will reach India, it will have to be stamped properly, so that the power can be driven from it and acted upon.
