court referred mediation for amicable resolution

Hindu male intestate succession. Class 1 heirs - widow and daughter only. Daughter married settled abroad. Does not know what assets/ liabilities her late father has. Widow unwilling to share or to disclose details on the same and even on ancestral property from father's end. Widow asking daughter to get to India and fetch answer for yourself. What options are available for daughter in this case, as daughter does not want to file partition suit as yet. Can daughter get a court referred mediation for amicable resolution of the same.

after filing partiton suit defenitely one can make use of the oppertunity of mediation. However with having a litigation, there will be no chances left for mediation. otherwise, any other person who claims to be the son /daughter of the deceased shall have to file partition of the properties known
