Consequences of selling the flat without informing the wife

I and my wife staying together in mumbai flat owned by me, can I sell the home without informing her ?? will there be any dispute or cheating case on me ??

If the flat is solely in your name then you can sell your flat, but then where you are going to stay with your wife. And you should always consult your wife and take action thats the basics of marital relationship. Though you can sell your flat without informing your wife as it is in your name subject to you are shifting along with your wife to some other residence, else she can file complaint against you in other matrimonial laws available to her.

Dear Friend,
As the house is in your name then their is no Legal obligation in Selling but my advise is take confidence of wife and let her know about your decision also she is not entitle to take any action as its your single owned property

As per your query

If you are the absolute owner of the said flat you have the right to sell the same subject to clearance of the society dues and any encumbrances thereon. If u are selling the flat out of any dispute with your wife, she has the right for alternate accomodation.
