Clarification regarding gift deed

11-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
A gift deed has been made in the sole name of father by grandmother in whose name the property is in. Is an NOC required to now change the name in a co-op housing society's musters as that of my father's.

yes, if the same is to be mentioned in article of society. the society have right to call NOC of previous owner. the society never need to call any objection if the gift deed is registered as per the registration act.

This is my response to you:
1. No you do not need an NOC;
2. The gift deed copy is enough to make the changes in the society's muster and the share certificate;
3. Approach the society manager and pay the requisite fees to make the changes.

Your query is not clear, whether society is asking for any noc or is that you are just worried if any NOC would be required.

For transfer of share certificate, copy of the gift deed along with membership application form is required to be submitted to the society.
