Clarification on sale of agriculture land bought by S.C. from non S.C

My father bought aggriculture land in his village, tahsil Dadri, G.B.Nagar U.P. from non S.C. community members about 40 years ago. He was in govt. Service, he shifted to delhi, all of us took birth, educate, works, reside, in delhi. We the legal heirs are not able to take care of that land, so we decide to sell that aggriculture land. Area appx.3000 sq. Yards. Than we learn that a member of S.C. can not sell his aggriculture land to a member of non S.C. Is it true ? That land is purchased by a registeted sale deed from the members of non S.C. community. As we are not familiar to village, we came very occasionaly to our village since our child hood, so we are not known to a large nubers of villagers. Sir , we want to know:- 1- how can we sale our land to any person belonging to a non S.C. community. 2-What process to be followed during sale ? Because we are aware that some peoples have their eyes on that land to grab. Please reply soon
