Challenging Civil Court Decree Passed on Illegal Sale of Hakku Patra

01-May-2025 (In Property Law)
We’ve lived on a Hakku Patra land (30x50 ft) for 25+ years based on an unregistered sale by the original grantee. A party filed a suit in 2015 claiming ownership through a 1992 sale deed (within the 20-year bar) and claimed 3000 sqft. Due to missed hearings, the court passed a decree in their favour asking us to vacate. We have strong possession evidence. Need advice on what to do next. The judgement was passed last week. --

I think you have lost the case due to lack of understanding of Law. There is no unregisted sale, if there is no registration there is no sale. if you do not have a registered sale deed having a strong evidence for possession is of no use. contact me once you collect the judgement copy.
