Chain registry missing how to obtain it and complete the sale

I am planning to buy a resale duplex property Builder Sold a duplex to X (2012) and did the Registry for the same then he exchanged duplex with exchange deed . Now builder again sold this property to Y (2014) With fresh Registry and I am going to buy from Y But earlier Registry between builder and X is missing Please suggest what can I do for chain registry missing?

Such transaction will not be 100% safe, even so you want to purchase aforesaid property you should take following precautions-
1- Take F.I.R. of related Thana regarding missing original document.
2. Take search report of last 13 years of Sub registrar Record of aforesaid property from any advocate.
3. Get Published a public notice in most popular/ circulated daily newspaper in your area of aforesaid transaction sale-purchase through any advocate and call objection from everbody ( give objection period 7 to 15 days as you wish) and if there will no objection within period take a certificate from advocate and then you should purchase aforesaid property.
