Can son grant GPA to father in joint property for release deed

10-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
I'm a joint holder of agricultural land at Thudialur along with my son who is a NRI. Can he give a GPA to make a release deed in my favour as he doesn't want this money to be taken to USA. I propose to sell this property in 3 mths.

Yes, it is possible for your son to appoint you (his father) as his GPA for the purpose of selling the property to a third party. All you need is to follow the prescribed format and procedure ensuring the same was attested and registered it here in Tamil Nadu, India for the purpose to selling the property in question.

Dear Sir/ Madam

Yes he can do. Provided he has to make detailed averments and his personal reasons narrating his status and current situation which warrants such a document to be executed by him . But you question is not elaborate whether he is at USA or at India.
