Can son grant GPA to father in joint property for release deed

I'm a joint holder of agricultural land at Thudialur along with my son who is a NRI. Can he give a GPA to make a release deed in my favour as he doesn't want this money to be taken to USA. I propose to sell this property in 3 mths.
Yes, it is possible for your son to appoint you (his father) as his GPA for the purpose of selling the property to a third party.
