Can self acquired property be added in into ancestral property

25-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
My grandfather have 0.5 acre of ancestral property (his father's) and 5 acre of self accrued property. My grandfather have a daughter and son. He is willing to transfer property to my name (Son of his Son). My relatives blackmailing us that since my grandfather already has ancestral property and brought new property, then all property will be under ancestral property and they will file a case against us. Is it true? is there any possibility for that?

You can defend if any such claim raised by your relatives. They son and daughter of your Grandfather have equal right with respect to the 50 cents of Ancestral property. As such your father will get 25 cents out of 50 cents. The prospect of your relatives (your aunt or their children) in establishing the right over the self acquired property of your grandfather - saying that the self acquired property is out of the funds from the Ancestral property is remote.
