Can My father sell my property if he has the POA

24-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello, I was looking to purchase a property in Bangalore with mortgage. As I was away from the country, I had provided my father a General Power of Attorney. With that, the purchase is complete. However, I am now thinking, does it give my dad power to sell the property. I can see the property is registered in my name as per the documents.

This would boil down to the contents of the power of attorney. If it gives your father the right to sell that he can go ahead and sell it on your behalf. As for the property records reflecting your name it is correct since your father has purchased the property on your behalf and not in his personal capacity.
