can my father get his share back according to panchayat partition

My grand father has four sons.he did panchayat partition of his property among his sons also including him.but after some days he sold some part of the property which is my father share according to panchayat partition.now my grand father has expired.my question is ..can my father get his share back according to panchayat partition.
When the panchayat partition was done and your Grand Father sold the share of your fathers property, your father should have raised a objection then. If it is sold at that time, though you can raise a objection, but it will hold no good as I suppose a considerable period has lapsed.
