Can i sell my 50%inherited share of property

My father made registered will n given 50-50%to myself n my brother.or my brother does not want to sell house and due to dispute i mbstaying away on rent.pls advice if i can sell my share of 50% in open market...how
If there is one plot how can u sell half ? Which is already occupied by your brother …
Secondly you need to file suit for partition if your brother is not agreed with mutual consent…plz b in touch asap

Petition for partition on the basis of the will.
You may approach the court and mention in your petition your desire to sell your share. Your brother will have the first right to buy that share from you.
The important part to note here is the structure of the house. If it can be divided easily I don't see any problem. If you are sharing common space with your brother that may be an issue.
In that event, a court order is necessary.
