Can I seek mortgage on my share of undivided ancestral property

26-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
My husband wants to take a mortgage loan from his ancestral property but my mother-in-law is not allowing him as per her she is the holder of the property now and will not allow for the mortgage. My father-in-law expired  2yrs ago. Can my husband take the loan inspite of her objection?
