To regain the land, you can consider the following steps: • Gather Evidence: Collect documents proving your grandfather's ownership and the alleged forgery, such as: Original sale deed: If available, the original sale deed or any other document showing your grandfather's ownership. o Witness statements: Statements from relatives, family friends, or neighbors who can attest to your grandfather's ownership and the alleged forgery. • File a Civil Suit: Approach the civil court with jurisdiction over the land, seeking: o Declaration of title: A declaration that your grandfather was the rightful owner of the land. Cancellation of forged deed: Cancellation of the forged deed and restoration of the land to your family's ownership. Limitation Period: Be aware of the limitation period for filing a suit, which may vary depending on the specific circumstances and applicable laws. Consult a Lawyer: Engage a lawyer specializing in property law to guide you through the process, help gather evidence, and represent you in court.
