Can I gift my property and house to someone i am not related?

i want to gift a property to someone whom i am not related to. i have a wife as well. can i gift the property to the other person through will or gift? Does the wife have any right on my property?

Transferring property by way of a gift deed to a person who isnt a relative shall attract a significant amount of stamp duty much more than what a sale deed would attract.
Before you can enter into a sale deed you must determine the ownership of the property. If the property is not ancestral property and is in your name then a sale deed to a person who is not a relative would be possible.
