Can I buy a land granted to lingayat in 1927

Hi ,
I'm planning to buy a land granted ( Hassan karnataka) to a guy from lingayat comunity in 1927
After that it was sold to a lingayat again in 1967
After that it changed hands 3 times all are lingayats
Can I buy this land
Will ptcl act apply for this
The land documents depends on nature of allotment , purchase, lien etc so you have to be very careful kindly secure all the documents and get a legal opinion from the advocate so that you will get to know about the clear facts and title
