Can husband gift agriculture land to wife

1. If I want to purchase agriculture land , can I include my wife's name in sale deed agreement ?
2. I a hindu, have purchased agriculture land in Maharashtra on my name, can i gift it to my wife. How? Is stamp duty , any fee required to gift. Is there any other way to transfer it to her name?
No, you cannot transfer Agricultural Land to your Wife if she is not an Agriculturist by any means. You can transfer either by Selling or by Gifting or by giving such Land on Lease. You can only sell your Agricultural Land to an Agriculturist.
