Can Ancestral property be sold after partition ?

Can a man sell his portion of share which comes from registerd partition deed of his ancestral property to anyone without anybody's consent ? Does a grandson has a right to claim ??
if a person being a Hindu has got his share upin partition of his ancestor property the same property becomes ancestral property for a grandson and a man can sell such a properties only on ground of legal necessity. otherwise a grandson has a right to claim partition of the property and prevent sale of the same.
