Can a stay be obtained regarding sale of property on a pending case

My mother has filed a case claiming 1/6 share in the property inherited by her father. They are a family of 6 siblings. ( three sons and three daughters) The case is going on. My mother and her two sisters plan to sell their share while the case is on going. Can the other party file for a stay on the on going case preventing the sale of the property till the verdict is given.
hi yes the other party could file a suit for injunction not to alienate the subject property to others pending the suit as the main purpose of the suit would be defeated and it would cause lot of hardships
