Can a property be transferred to 1 person if there are 11 members

18-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
My father passed away 8 years ago , we are born with 6 sisiters and 4 brothers and survived by our mother. The property should be shared among us along with surviving mother. One of the broather says the entire property belong sto him and says he does not need to share the same with us. Is it correct ? since the property belongs to my father.

You have not mentioned your religion. Whatsover, on the demise of your father you will get a share for sure, the ratio will differ depending upon your religion and other surviving legal heirs. Your brother can not claim the entire share as the same is not recognised by any law. You can fight back for your right and get your share in the property.
