Can a land belonging to ST people be sold to UR category people

I had purchased a residential plot 8 years back from a builder in cuttak tahasil. I belong to scheduled tribe from ODISHA .My QUESTION IS can I SELL TO GENERAL CAST PEOPLE? as i am not getting scheduled tribe people who can buy.I need it to sell as urgently money required for debt clearance.which agency can help me?
It depends as to where the land is situated. If it is located in an area specified for ST’s it can’t be transferred to non scheduled caste.However otherwise any person can make transfer to anyone without nexus to caste, religion, rave and etc.

In order to sell ST land to general category ,prior permission should be taken from the concerned Sub-Collector/Revenue Officer as per Orissa Land Reforms Act, 1960. If the concerned authority is satisfied then you can sell your land. On the other hand, I would like to know more details of your land, documents, etc for proper guidance.
